Dress for Success NZ
DFSNZ's primary focus whilst meeting a woman at her point of need and empowering her via their hand up service, is also to remove any barriers that would prevent her from getting the support she requires to thrive.
In 2024, they supported 1500 women through 2-year year wrap around service with an ambition to reach and assist 2000 women a year by 2027.
FSC25 Conference donation options:
- $250 enables a woman to access our full 2-year wrap around service including clothing, skills, development tools and support.
- $100 provides a woman with a complete interview-ready clothing capsule.
- $50 enables a woman to attend a one-on-one Career Centre coaching session.
- $30 enable a woman to attend one in-person group workshop.
Donations can be made on-site at the FSC25 Conference or while purchasing a ticket.

FSC25: Transforming for Tomorrow theme
As a diverse community, the theme "Transforming for Tomorrow" reflects our shared journey toward a brighter future. It draws inspiration from the whakataukī (proverb) by Ngāi Tahu leader and Māori language expert Kukupa Tirikatene:
“E kore e taea e te whenu kotahi ki te raranga i te whāriki kia mōhio ai tātou ki a tātou.”
Translated, this means: "The tapestry of understanding cannot be woven by one strand alone." This proverb highlights the importance of collaboration, diversity, and collective effort in achieving meaningful transformation.
The conference design incorporates the geometric patterns of Māori weaving, with squares and triangles symbolising direction, purpose, and depth. These shapes represent changes and interconnected pathways within the financial services community, reinforcing our shared commitment to growing financial confidence and wellbeing for all New Zealanders.

FSC25 Conference Charity Partner
KidsCan is an Aotearoa New Zealand based charity dedicated to helping Kiwi kids affected by poverty. KidsCan help tamariki experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes and health products to over 1100 schools and early childhood centres nationwide.
Providing practical support such as food, clothing and health products helps remove some of the barriers these children face, enabling them to make the most of their education & participate in learning, and ultimately have the opportunity to create a better future for themselves.
$11,165 was raised for FSC24 Conference Charity Partner KidsCan from attendees to help them towards their goal of reaching over 10,000 Kiwi children in need. Past FSC Conferences

Consumer Resilience & Prosperity Conference 2024
The FSC24 Conference built on the success of previous years, marking the first time our annual event was sold out.
The discussions focused on the sector's role in enhancing the resilience of everyday New Zealanders and guiding them toward greater prosperity.
We welcomed over 700 delegates with 26 sponsors and 128 speakers across 40 sessions from 3-5 September 2024 at The Cordis Hotel.

Building Consumer Confidence 2023
The theme of the Financial Services Council conference in 2023 was Building Consumer Confidence.
As part of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we recognised the importance of supporting all New Zealanders.
This theme was therefore about focusing on how we as an industry could support those who need it most, in all regions of New Zealand and of all gender identities, sexual orientations, cultures, ethnicities, ages and backgrounds.

Growing Financial Confidence & Wellbeing in Aotearoa 2022
The FSC. Conference 2022 theme reflected the FSC. Vision to ‘Grow the Financial Confidence and Wellbeing of New Zealanders’.
Our 2022 theme built on those from previous conferences including ReGenerations, and acted as our guide as we continue our journey through uncertain pandemic and economic times.
We welcomed over 645 delegates, sponsors and speakers back in person to the FSC. Conference 2022 at The Cordis Hotel in Auckland over the 21-22 September 2022.
Tech Alley and Pitch Perfect 2023
Tech Alley is marketplace where attendees could meet with pioneering FinTech, InsurTech, HealthTech, EduTech and RegTech Kiwi companies, learn about their products and understand how they could help enhance their businesses and the financial services sector.
Tech Alley was located as part of the main sponsorship and partner exhibition area.
The Financial Services Council aims to fuel innovation in the sector and Pitch Perfect sparks that flame. All startup tech companies and Tech Alley attendees were welcome to pitch their tech at our breakfast session on 21 September, and the winners were invited to pitch their innovation on the main plenary stage later that day. See the winners here.

Thank you to our Tech Alley and Pitch Perfect partner

The Voices of Hope
The Financial Services Council and Voices of Hope have formed a wonderful partnership over the past few years and we were delighted to announce them as our charity partner for the 2022 Conference.
The work they do to create and implement change for mental health through stories of lived experience, is so incredibly important on an individual, communal and global scale. All donations make a huge difference to the work Voices of Hope do and are greatly appreciated.
