AMP strategic outlook

Despite periods of anxiety and market volatility, 2016 ended up being an okay year for diversified investors, says AMP in its quarterly strategic outlook. 

The year started badly with worries about global growth and deflation, but by the end of the year growth was looking solid and headline inflation was heading higher. Global GDP growth looks like coming in at around 3.1% in 2016 – not bad given the year started out with ongoing worries and angst about China and fears of a US recession.
